Overseeding

What is Overseeding?

Overseeding helps fill in the gaps of your turf that may be patchy and have bare spots. It’s planting seed into your existing turf, without tearing up the soil or turf. If you have bare spots, want to improve grass varieties or enhance your lawns color overseeding your lawn can help with that! The best defense against weeds is to have a thick lawn!

Benefits of Overseeding

  • Filling in areas of turf damaged by insects, diseases or summer stress

  • Increasing and thickening the density of your lawn

  • Improving your lawns appearance

  • Enhancing your lawn’s ability to fight insects and diseases

  • Helps in reducing weeds

Because Bermuda grass is more difficult to germinate than Fescue grass, we do not recommend overseeding. For the best results, we only recommend overseeding when dealing with Fescue grass.

Others Love Us - You Will Too!

A Cut Above has given us great service for at least 4 years now. The owner will check in with us and the employees are always nice and ask how they are doing and if we are satisfied with the work. I have had them help us with our lawn care and maintenance and help with over grown bushes and trees. They have been treating our yard for weeds and its been less than a year and our grass is beautiful! Highly recommend.
